The Watamu resort is a touristic development that not only carries the torch of traditional African architecture with respect but at the same time, aims to achieve a design that excels in terms of water management, sustainable building processes and eco-friendly design elements that guarantee a low impact for the local environment but that provides a higher quality in services for the guests that stay at the resort. The concept behind the urban layout is basically to form a grid of 3 zones: A: upper zone (north) where the bungalow units will be placed (total 14 units counting the central office building), B: a middle green buffer zone where a dense palm tree park is planned and finally, C: the lower area designed for the access road and parking, comprised of a roundabout located on the southwestern part of the plot (where the main access is) and followed by a linear dirt road that connects the parking spaces covered by 3 wooden canopies with solar panels on top of them. The road then connects to each bungalow through a small path that meanders through the palm trees as a filter.

RENOVATION OF THE AMADRIA PARK GRAND HOTEL 4 OPATIJSKA CVIJETA_ opened

After several months of construction (and a lot of time under design), our new project AMADRIA PARK GRAND HOTEL 4 OPATIJSKA CVIJETA, located in Opatija (Croatia), has finally opened. The hotel renovation works are according to our design (architecture) and interior design (by the company HBA from London, UK).

SANGRAD d.o.o. started the implementation of the project “Transformation and strengthening of the competitiveness of the applicant SANGRAD d.o.o.” on 1 March 2025. The project is implemented in accordance with the rules of the Call for Proposals for the award of grants “Transformation and strengthening of the competitiveness of cultural and creative industries”, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026. The competent authority is the Ministry of Culture and Media, and the Implementing Authority is the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investments.

RENOVATION OF THE AMADRIA PARK GRAND HOTEL 4 OPATIJSKA CVIJETA_ technical inspection

The AMADRIA PARK GRAND HOTEL 4 OPATIJSKA CVIJETA, located in Opatija, Croatia recently finished its renovation works according to our design (Architecture) and Interior design (developed by HBA from London, UK). On the 10th of July 2025, the technical inspection took place. Our team did a tour through the whole completed building. In the coming months, we will finally be able to take several photos of the completed design, in the mean time, here are some photos taken at the inspection.

LECTURE IN DUBROVNIK_URBAN INTERVENTIONS

The Croatian Chamber of Architects, Regional Committee Dubrovnik and the Society of Architects Dubrovnik, in cooperation with the Student Center of the University of Dubrovnik, are giving us the opportunity to give a lecture with the theme: URBAN INTERVENTIONS (Urbane intervencije), which will take place on Friday 25^th of April. 2025 at the Mala Dvorana within the Student Center in Dubrovnik, Ulica Marka Marojice 2b, at 18:00 hrs local time.
