The starting point of the idea comes from a monolith, i.e. a block placed on the plot in parallel with its longer sides. The settings in the further process of relation to the context assume the integration of the house and greenery, the search for privacy and the selection of views in a clear frame. Solid fragments are removed from the monolith differently in relation to the floors of the ground floor, basement and first floor. The center is deepened through all planes thus the atrium is formed. At the level where it meets the terrain (basement), the terrain flattens out, the garden continuously transitions into the atrium and the volume hovers over the existing ground. On the ground floor, on the most spacious floor, the northwestern corner is cut – the entrance is formed. The upper floor is carved according to the logic of the frame and view in the southeast, northwest and southwest corners, according to the context’s logic. The ground floor, “Piano nobile”, on the entrance side (street), the floor rises slightly in relation to the higher elevation of the road. From the entrance to the cantilever terrace in the garden, the continuity of the view remains uninterrupted. The relief remains emphasized. The recessed entrance continues with a spacious windbreak (wardrobe), from which you can access the elongated lobby, lit from the side by light from the atrium. The rooms line the hall: in the street wing is a guest room and study, in the middle opposite the one-legged staircase is the elevator, wardrobe, sanitary facilities and cloakroom, and in the courtyard wing is the living room, dining room and kitchen. The basement is accessed by road from the lower side of the street, via a ramp. The garage is sized for two vehicles, bicycles and garden machinery. From the garage there is access to the rear buried part of the basement, which passes to the southeast into the naturally lit, partially shaded basement. The stairwell is the hall of the basement, from which you can enter the buried storage room on the side of the road, the sanitary facilities, the sauna and the playroom protruding towards the garden part of the basement. The playroom is in contact with the outdoor swimming pool, which is partly covered, partly exposed, balancing its position between the atrium and the back garden. The upper floor is treated as a recessed volume facing the courtyard garden with amazing vistas. In the southeast, the volume opens towards the cathedral and the panorama of the city, and in the northwest towards the villas down the street. There is a garden in front of the house. In the yard, trees together with shrubby species pass into the inner zone of the house, into its atrium. The house is in the park and the park is in the house.
