The program defines one residential unit. It consists of living and auxiliary spaces with a guest room or office on the ground floor, and sleeping units on the first floor.
The relationship to the context defines the conceptual procedures in the following sequence:
- The building mass is positioned towards the northeast on the edge regulation lines.
- Along the main, tall volume, lower auxiliary cubes (closed and semi-open, or a massive and light segment) are positioned on diagonally opposite sides. Next to them, a light pergola is formed in the axis of the main volume, flanking the path to the entrance door.
- The combined fragments in interrelation with tall and medium-height greenery form an atrium or an inner protected courtyard.
The spatial units are organized within the parameters of the spatial urban plan with the intention that the main spaces correspond to the private, sheltered and peaceful content in the courtyard. Access to the plot is planned on the narrow side of the plot along the street with a separate pedestrian or vehicular access to the garage with two parking spaces, in whose extension is the house engine room. The logic of the ground floor is to orient the spatial segments towards the terrace/garden. The house opens towards the courtyard. The staircase and bathrooms/toilet are positioned in the central zone of the floor plan. With their position on the ground floor, they separate the living area from the entrance segment with the office and the technical spaces. On the first floor, this central, utilitarian space separates the parents’ area with the terrace and gallery from the children’s segment (two bedrooms).
There is a garden around the house. Within the framework of the living and auxiliary spaces on one side and the green mass on the other, there is a swimming pool. Next to the pool, in the shade of a pergola, on one side is an outdoor dining area or sunbathing area with deck chairs on the other. The ground floor is mixed with horticultural surfaces and paving. Stone and ceramics, gravel and lawn, grass and low bushes alternate.
