The house is located on a sloped terrain that looks towards the beautiful lake Zirahuen in the municipality of Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán, Mexico. The house adapts to the surroundings by opening towards the lake and natural environment; the upper volume / slab houses the large living room and dining area which can be opened or closed in its entirety by using wooden panels on the façade. On the other hand, this upper volume sits on top of two lower bodies that contain the bedrooms, play area and guest rooms. An infinity pool frames the upper body and offers the possibility of swimming and enjoying the views from the main social area, while at the same time, the house design uses the pool height to lower one the blocks (bedrooms area) to follow the sloped terrain and form a gap where another social area takes place as an extension of the play room and guest area. Nature takes control of the house being found on terraces, roofs and general landscape in order to link the house to its natural context. The materials used are mainly wood, concrete, glass and steel, with a predomination of wood both indoor and outdoor.
