The apartment is located within one of the most interesting and expressive neighborhoods in Mexico City in terms of architectural production, either traditional or contemporary. The main request was to adapt an old apartment in the heart of the CONDESA to meet the needs of a young Mexican couple. The interior design comes as a simple and even raw approach with natural materials and surfaces (cast concrete, wood, and glass) as a more austere design. The use of dark colors and rough surfaces contrast with the simple white color walls and ceilings. The openings are accented by clean glazed frames that look towards the outdoor greenery of the romantic Condesa’s streets. The study room has an extension towards the outside by means of a terrace that is fully covered under tree tops.
