The plot is situated on a slope descending from northeast to southwest, with access provided from the lower part. In this context, the house was designed to follow the shape of a regular trapezoidal plot, accepting a certain degree of uncertainty in relation to neighboring conditions. The specific characteristics of the site influenced the author’s decision to design an atrium house on the sloping terrain.
Organizationally, the staircase core located at the center of the floor plan divides the two main tracts — the front (southwest) and the rear (northeast) — creating a courtyard space through its indentation from the perimeter. The plot has access points at both ends from the lower road on either side. The level of the access street is approximately two meters below the ground floor. The main entrance is reached on foot via gentle stairs that ascend to the ground-floor plateau, while the driveway leading to the basement garages descends along the southwest boundary of the façade.
On the ground floor, adjacent to the main entrance, the front section contains the kitchen, living room, pantry, and guest toilet. Beyond the central circulation core — which includes the staircase and elevator — the rear section accommodates a living room, dining area, and study. The ground floor functions as an interconnected indoor and outdoor space. Landscaped with trees and shrubs and partially paved, the exterior area flows seamlessly into the interior, integrating spatial elements into a unified whole. The upper floor features three bedrooms with a shared bathroom and laundry area in the rear tract, while the front section contains the master suite with a living area, bathroom, and dressing room. The rooms in this tract open onto terraces that offer expansive views of the city and surrounding slopes. The basement includes a garage with three parking spaces, a direct entrance to the central core, a social area with a wine cellar, storage rooms, an engine room, a guest toilet, and a gym with a sauna and bathroom. The gym and engine room are connected and receive natural light through a smaller, lower atrium.
The house is designed with a low-energy approach. Photovoltaic panels are installed on the slightly sloped roof.
